There are two bands with the same name: 1. Melancholy, The name speaks for itself, with the bands harmonic, down pulling music and lyrics. Melancholy rose at , with a promise of a new music style, distinctive enough to break into any heart and bleed in it, hence their passion derives from their own hearts, melancholic visions, grieving events and depressing .

Melancholia is a portrayal of the Fear of Isolation connected to emptiness and depression. She appears as an angel made of ice cold water and tortures her victims until they beg for salvation, to which she slowly absorbs them into her, making them become a part of her.

With melancholy, the displeasurable or negative aspects lie in feelings of loneliness, emptiness, sadness from loss, and the fear or dread that sometimes accompanies longing. The pleasurable aspect comes primarily through reflection, when we dwell on happy memories or fashion elaborate fantasies.

The CD comes with a booklet that features a series of arty images, along with the recording credits. The sound quality is very high. All in all, this is a great album by a mature group with a mature sound. Although heavier than some of the earlier albums, this is fantastic stuff that paves the way for the excellent Fear of a Blank Planet ()/5().
